Goal for the month achieved! Unfortunately the two figures in caps went for a high dive moments after the photo and now need some minor paint touch ups. Oops. The wide brim hats put the face in shadow: several of the figures are smoking cigars. Each figure has a separate number on the base for use in games such as Necromunda.9 points

I'm going to be doing a diorama based on the 9th edition reveal trailer. I'm looking at doing it in a 3x2 foot area and am looking to include the following 20ish battle sisters 20ish intercessors (mix of regular and assault) Marine captain Skorpekh lord Several skorpekh destroyers Scarab swarms 20-40 necron warriors. I have most of the models already. I also have foam to use as the base. Next plan is to figure out the rough layout for the diorama. *edit - should I win any cash prizes, all proceeds will be donated to Beyond Blue.9 points

Well, finally picked a project (out of many) to commit to for this year. I've been meaning to start this army for a while, and have accumulated a few loose ends along the way. I have very fond memories of 6th edition, and am slowly working on building armies for it. With a few concessions to modern game conventions. I'm a round base convert these days. The plan will be to paint 2000pts of Druchii, but I might start by making a 1000pt list and getting what I need for that.7 points

Pretty much. Could not get the owner to move on upgrading the site, enabling basic security like HTTPS etc, so I forked out a bunch of my own hard earned and restarted the forums as I didn't want the community to die off.7 points

Nice work Jyggdrasil. Feels good to finish something right? For me I managed to smash out my ACW lads a bit earlier (sleep was sacrificed tho) so now have some time to think on what for next month. Not the prettiest but they look veteran and good enough for tabletop and I had fun putting static grass, tufts and train clump foliage which makes ordinary painted fig pop a bit. That makes 56 more rebs now added to my force. Probably a match for my union force now . Only 2 boxes of Perry ACW infantry and 1 of artillery to go lol. And I am not going to talk about 20 odd boxes of War of the roses, WW2 and Napoleonic Perrys I have in the shed - nope not going there. Sanity check due I suspect. Good luck for everyone and I hope you get some paint on your models. Can't always hit your goals but enjoy when you get the time. Its a great hobby (bit of a time sink tho). take care chaps / chapettes6 points

Ok done. The peregrine falcon came out a bit rougher than I wanted, but I don't have the time (or steady enough hand) to redo.6 points

OK, so it appears we hadn't been clear on the not voting for yourself thing. We've negated any self votes though. After discussion, the winners are in the following order: Moody Play the Gray Sub-optimal Korocite Jyggdrasil b20f08 Barney Admins' choice - BoBo - This is an extra prize as the Admin team felt BoBo deserved a prize for his work.6 points

The upcoming TSOG Land of the Lost game requires several ubiquitous bit of Jungle Terrain the most iconic being 'rope bridges'! I need three for the game so how to make these suckers? I just went ahead and started making the first one and worked it out as I went. Below is the finished product and a link to the Blog with how I put them together... Blog Link...6 points

So I bought a large compliment of Steel Legion off of someone on WAU a long time ago as part of a plan to do a 3rd War for Armageddon Imperial army (which is where the Celestial Lions, the chapter I collect, got Inquisitoned). So first step is that I'm going to paint up the infantry. Then I might paint the commisars (I have Yarrick and a converted regular commisar) or I'll make a start on the plethora of vehicles I have. Chimeras should probably get done first since, you know, Steel Legion. There are roughly 130 infantry (counting heavy weapon teams as 2 models). I think I have about 5 or 6 chimeras, 12 or so leman russ tanks and 5 or 6 baneblade variants because...ummm, yeah, I don't know why really. I made a start on the infantry today, did an initial coat of grey on parts and have started a yellow ochre for the uniforms. I got about a 3rd through as I'm batch painting all of the infantry in one go.6 points

Small update. Have started painting the line Kazaks. These are the basic grunts and as such have fairly simple combat fatigues. A little fiddly, but mostly happy6 points

Haven't had a lot of progress this month. Life / mental health has gotten in the way a bit. Got the previous piece plus some greestuff and another mini diorama piece I'm working on. I'm aiming to get a bunch of moments from the trailer. Hoping to get more work done next month or even in the last few days of this month. I have also ordered a resin 3D printer, so I'm hoping to make a bunch of terrain features for the diorama š6 points

5 Dreadscythe Harridans knocked out, not completely sold on the colours so might revisit when I receive another 5 in the next delivery but for now they will go into the cabinet. Might start with grey primer rather than black as they are much duller compared to the other guys but open to suggestions?6 points

The latest unit for Inquisitor Dile is from the Praetors of Orpheus chapter. The Praetors are said to be second only to the mechanicum in their knowledge of all things, well, mechanical . Our campaign rules give a bonus to units with advanced technology. Tasetus has his techmarines and engineers to fill that role but a Dile has not had anything like this until now. The real reason I painted them up is that I like the colour scheme and had ten of the relevant shoulder pads.6 points
