September hobby comp - something borrowed

Recommended Posts

The theme for September is "something borrowed". Paint whatever you want in a colour scheme you have seen somewhere. It doesn't have to be from a miniature You could choose the colours from a company logo, the Marshall Islands flag, a motorbike you passed yesterday - whatever you have seen that you reckon will work well on a mini.

- pic of model with date

- pic of completed model before the 29th of August.

- have fun! 🙂

I'm painting a feature wall in my house...I'm borrowing a drop cloth, does that count? 😛

You will be in the running for  the "Most paint used", "Largest area covered" and "Best use of monotone" awards.

Actually, I started painting a bunch of mechs of a Comguard force for Battletech.  I'll do those.  I didn't include a date with the photos I took, but let me dig them up and I'll do them for the challenge.  They can be "borrowing" Star League tech 😛

  • Krefey pinned this topic

Unpainted pic (phone says that was on the 31st of August)and progress shots. Trying to decide if I black panel line them and if I do, how I do it. Could be a good excuse to try and use an oil pin wash after painting and varnishing them

Looking for an older colour scheme that I will definitely try to "borrow" off of someone's photo (of already painted ones) on the web. Failing a nice one be standard blackmetal, red, bronze but some brightness for the magic aura kinda stuff - GW Warmaster metal  Chaos Sorcerers (the rarer kind) in all their little 10mm lovely metal goodness.
