July 15, 20215 yr Finished reading Godblight lst week and it poses some interesting questions about where 40k is going to go. The main one is that thanks to the Great Rift, the Emperor's psychic might has been amplified along with that of the psychic awakening of humanity. He is actively working from within the Warp to help humanity now. To the point where He razed a hefty chunk of Nurgle's Garden. So he definitely has grown in power. It seems like He knows about Guilliman's betrayal in creating Imperium Secundus during the Heresy too, but doesn't care. Guilliman got smashed by Mortarion. But I'm not sure if he deliberately lost or not. It's possibly he lost on purpose due to what the farseer had seen and advised. Mortarion has been defeated and Nurgle is NOT happy with him. Might not see him active for a while now, although the brief interaction between Mortarion and the Emperor may imply that he could be redeemed at some point in the future.
July 19, 20215 yr I'm kind of enjoying the Emperor being a bit more involved. It's still all smoke and mirrors but I kind of like that it properly establishes the Imperium and Chaos of two sides of the same coin. In the past there's been a bit of "Oh the Imperium are the underdogs" despite being the overwhelming superpower of the setting, so this shift is kind of fun. I also feel like they're slowly prepping us for a split along the lines of realists/theists with Roboute on one side and (presumably) a resurrected Sanguinius on the other side. Otherwise, I kind of loved that Nurgle has a house. Not sure if that's old lore but it made me chuckle.

Although at the end of Godblight, Guilliman does ask Felix to have a bit of "faith". So maybe Guilliman is coming around to the new reality of the Imperium? Nurgle has had a house for a while I think. I'm wondering where Isha is though, and if the Emperor's burning of Nurgle's garden affected her.
July 21, 20215 yr Of course. I doubt it'll be that clear cut, but I presume internal tension is the ultimate goal. In general, I've enjoyed the return of primarch's to the setting. Though yeah, some more Eldar fluff and an update on Isha would be fun.
