Emplion Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 (edited) Hi guys, the firestorm armada 3.0 beta has been announced by Warcradle studios. https://blog.warcradle.com/blog/2020/warcradle-studios-diary-25 Wednesday 6 May Edited March 2, 2020 by Emplion Quote
Krefey Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Wow! I thought the game had died along with Dystopian Wars. It's good to see it's still alive and kicking. Quote
MechKraken Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Holy moly.... That Sorylian battleship makes me want to try and get this going again. But I also struggle to expect a decent scene for it sadly around here. Quote

But I've got a very big painted Directorate fleet and will collect a second fleet when they start producing models. Then I just need to find people willing to play - not commit resources to a new game. Quote

Warcradle Studios, aka Wayland Games, picked up the IP for all 3 of the Spartan Games systems, I think that Dystopian Wars is about to be re-released (or has just been re-released if they're starting on Firestorm) Will be interesting to see what happens with the game now. I've struggled with this previously with bot really being keen for any of the forces in the starter sets. I'll be watching this with interest and will start reaching out to some to get some interest around playtesting too. The second edition ruleset was really fun and simple. Quote
Magos Kasen Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Firestorm was always one of those games I meant to get into, and never did. Hopefully it is successful in making a comeback. Quote

Would be worth asking at one of the tabletop days. Quote
